The definition of Alchemy is "a magical process of creation and combination". Here they have combined some of their oldest whiskies, which have been fully matured in 6 cask types (Pedro Ximenez Sherry butts and hogsheads, Light and Medium toasted Virgin American Oak barrels, and ruby and tawny port barriques). This is their boldest and richest release yet, bursting with notes of ripe red fruits, dark chocolate, and Black Forest gateau, leading into rich honey, caramel, and vanilla beans, with a long rich and fruity finish.

The Whisky Box is packed and sent out to all subscribers as a group during the 7 business days after the 1st of the month.

This schedule shows which box you will receive when you sign up, schedule a payment, or place a manual order.

  • January Box - December 4th to January 3rd
  • February Box - January 4th to January 31st
  • March Box - February 1st to March 3rd

Who chooses the whiskies?

Our in house team works with Nigel Kelly, a leading whisky expert with decades of experience, to select each month's whisky and the perfect pairings.

When will I receive my box?

Each box is sent out in the first week of each month. Your first month is determined by the sign up cutoffs which you can see above.

Once dispatched, the average delivery time depends on where it's going:

Auckland - 1-2 Working Days

North Island - 1-3 Working Days

South Island - 3-5 Working Days

Note: If your delivery address is rural then it is typically an additional 1-3 working days to your region's average time.

It may also take longer to arrive than normal during peak periods like Christmas.

Are there any extra fees?

No, the only cost is for each box you are sent.

There are no fees for changing your frequency, pausing, cancelling, or anything like that.

The only time you will be charged is for receiving a box.

Is there a minimum sign up period?

No, there is no minimum sign up period or number of boxes. You can pause or cancel your subscription whenever you like at no cost.

Can I change how often I get a box?

Yes, you can change your frequency by logging into your account and navigating to your subscription.
