Bourbon casks from early 2018 were filled with a roughly 60/40 ratio of unpeated to peated spirit, then re-racked into Madeira (fortified wine) casks for two years. These casks were vatted just prior to reaching 7 years old and bottled.
Imparting fruit characters with rich toffee apple, stewed plum, and red currant. Alongside the introduction of a fragrant spiciness, with notes of chocolate, cinnamon, and sandalwood, the punchy 52% bottling is sure to leave your pallet impressed.
Like all Ardnamurchan whiskies, this Madeira Cask Release is non-chill filtered and natural colour.
